SPORTS OSTEOPATHY TO LIFT RESTRICTIONS OF MOBILITY
Osteopathy is a manual holistic approach that allows athletes to maximise their potential and to prevent injuries.
It occupies an important place in the development of the athlete, both amateur and professional, and is an integral part of the multidisciplinary teams that accompany the athletes. The acts of the practitioner depend on the patient: his sporting level, age, physical condition and his demands.
The practice of sports exposes the body to constraints that the osteopath will remove before they become pathological.
For the sporting gesture to be efficient, it is necessary that the structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments, …) are properly irrigated (vascularisation) and innervated. Thus the osteopathic approach allows us to understand the body as a whole and to lift mobility restrictions while harmonising its structures.
